NOSY BE

Nosy Be meaning Big Island, is off the northwest coast of Madagascar and is dotted with volcanic lakes, plantations, forests and coral reefs; an absolute flora and fauna paradise for nature lovers providing the visitor with a wide variety of entertainment choices on this 4 day break. Nosy Be is where the sacred Banyan Tree grows and the impressive Mount Passot Volcano - now extinct, the volcano offers an outstanding vantage point. Nosy Be also has fine examples of historical colonial architecture and a local market for exploration. Your holiday will include a relaxing mini cruise and exploration of two nearby islands; Nosy Komba which has a traditional fishermen’s village and local craft market and a park for lemurs, one of its more unique attractions; lemurs are a monkey species endemic to Madagascar. Nosy Tanikely Island is home to a marine reserve with an assortment of exotic fish and the chance to snorkel in these serene surroundings. The scent of coffee, pepper and vanilla will waft through the air throughout your stay; Madagascar is the main vanilla producer in the world with more than 30,000 hectares of plantations on the island and the name of your resort is even called Vanila!
