Hong Kong

Hong Kong, a bustlingmetropolis known for its skyscrapers, vibrant street markets, andrich history, offers a diverse array of streets, each burstingwith unique activities and nearby accommodations. Because of itssubtropical position, Hong Kong's weather provides ideal year-round travelopportunities, making it one of Asia's most popular holidaydestinations. Hong Kong 'city' is centred around theKowloon peninsula and the strip opposite it on Hong Kong island. Tsim Sha Tsui,at the tip of the Kowloon peninsula, is the main tourist area and is one of thebest places to stay if you're looking for reasonably priced accommodation. Inbasic brush strokes, the Kowloon side is less colonial, more Chinese, and youmight find that prices are generally a little cheaper.

Once calledVictoria, the main hub of Hong Kong business and administration is now called'Central'. Lan Kwai Fong to the southwest of Central station is where you canfind a lot of the restaurants, bars and clubs. Soho is the other entertainmentdistrict. Sheung Wan is probably the area where Hong Kong's colonial past ismost evident. Sai Ying Pun is probably the island's most traditionally Chineseneighbourhood.
